Today’s a good day to be gay in the U.S.A.

A federal judge in California has found Prop 8 (which made it illegal

for gays to get married in California) to be unconstitutional

under due process and equal protection.

The full court ruling will be released at 2 pm pacific time today.

IN 138 PAGE RULING judge finds unconstitutional that:

‘Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or

recognized in California’…

JUDGE: ….the court pursuant to FRCP 52(a)

finds that Proposition 8 is unconstitutional …

Today’s not the end of the battle, and the opposition will appeal

this ruling to higher courts, but it is a fabulis step along

the way in our journey for equal protection and rights under law.
